Top Ten Tuesday

Image from http://www.heisereads.com/
Trying a new Meme here, which I found on Heise Reads and Recommends, a great blog that not only has a lot of reviews, but where I find a lot of the bookish online activities that I get sucked into.

By the way, if you haven't started making plans for MotherReader's 48 Hour Book Challenge, you should know that I've made piles of culturally diverse books, have downloaded an audio book, and have even started a Pinterest board labeled #WeNeedDiverseBooks. Next, I have to organize the household so that everyone is fed and taken care of while I read for 38 hours! That's my goal, anyway.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Top 10 Books That Should Be In Your Beach Bag This Summer (Providing that you are a teacher or librarian who deals with middle grade readers. Otherwise, you should be reading Nora Roberts or Maeve Binchy on the beach!)

1. Wallace, Sandra Neil and Rich. Babe Conquers the World. (This was beyond AWESOME!)
2. Stroud, Jonathan. The Whispering Skull (More for a rainy day with tea, but still!)
3. Greenwald, Tommy. Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Making Money. (Summer. Must.Have.)
4. Schulz, Heidi. Hook's Revenge. (Pirates on the beach. Definitely!)
5. Anderson, John David. Minion (In case I am an evil supper villain.)
6. Watson, Jude. Loot. (My primer for being international jewel thief!)
7. Hiassen, Carl. Skink: No Surrender (In case you're in Florida.)
8. Hurwitz, Michele. How I Changed the World... in 64 Days (So you can be a better person)
9. Cerra, Kerry O'Malley. Just a Drop of Water (Cross Country running.)
10. Jeter, Derek. The Contract. (Because I like to see what Paul Mantell is writing.)

I love your Pinterest board idea. I'm going to steal it if you don't mind. :)

Your Beach Bag list is excellent. I plan on reading most of those books over the summer but sadly not waterside. I have a six year old who requires near constant supervision so only rereads go to beach or pool with me. (Things I can easily take my attention from as I'm so familiar with them.)
