Floyd C. Dickman

I had Floyd for one of my first Library Science classes, back in about 1996. He knew so much about children's literature and was a very kind man. He gave me a board book copy of Martin Waddell's Owl Babies when he found out that I had two very small children at home, and we used to read it before I would go to classes, because the classes invariably went past the kids' bedtimes.

A huge loss to the world of children's literature.
