This was the sight that greeted me on the last day of spring break, and goes pretty far in explaining why I had trouble getting motivated to read books being published in July! Most days it rained, so Sylvie didn't get as many walks as we normally take.
We have one good week to check books out, but for most of April, the library will be closed for testing. I no longer complain; testing must be done, a schedule is developed, and we do what must be done. It doesn't help that when testing is over, there are only a few weeks before all of the books are due for the end of the year!
The highlight of break was Julie Falatko's Two Dogs in a Trench Coat Go to School. (Scholastic, 29 May 2018) "Tiny carrots wrapped in bacon" is my new favorite phrase.
Hope everyone is weathering the end of winter, reading a lot of good books, and having very few surprises!

It's snowing here today as well. Certainly doesn't feel or look like Spring yet. Hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteWe are having some truly spring-like weather here, but I am hoping for more winter. We need rain! I like your new favorite phrase.
ReplyDeleteHow could anyone resist picking up a book titled Two Dogs in a Trench Coat Go to School?
