Running Out of Steam!

At about 2:00 this afternoon, I got a tiny bit tired of reading! The tissue box on the counter magically disappeared, but I strongly suspect that my children have eaten nothing but bread and bananas. For those of you participants with small children, here is hope-- right now Picky Reader is off at a slumber party, , and Teen Girl is at a baseball game. It's amazing.

12:30- Corey, Shana. Here Come the Girl Scouts (technically a picture book, but I think I miscounted yesterday)
12:45-Preller, James. Before You Go.
1:30--Meaney, Flynn. The Boy Recession
2:30--Kimmel, Eric A. Hiss-s-s-s
3:00---Dashner, James. Mutiny in Time
4:00--Weiner, Ellis. The Templeton Twins
5:00- Schlitz, Amy Laura. Splendors and Glooms
6:30--Scieszka, Jon, ed. The Sports Pages
7:15-- Bourreau, Clara. On the Run
7:45--Buyea, Rob. Mr. Terupt Falls Again
8:45-- Lynch, Chris. Fire-Free Zone (Vietnam #3)
9:30--Holm, Jennifer and Matt. Squish, Captain of Disaster
9:45ish Reviews

29 hours, 34 books. Or something like that. One problem with focusing is that I look up, I have no more books left, and five hours have passed!

Two more hours left today, then six tomorrow, which will bring me in slighty under my goal of 38 hours.

The reading is easy; the math is hard!

  1. There's a Mr Terupt sequel? Nobody tells me anything.

Good thing you panicked and picked up a few extras!

  2. Wow, I am always so shocked at how fast you read! Some year I am going to remember and not sit here with my mouth hanging open! Good to read your thoughts, all the best to you! Book People Unite!

  3. Only one more hour left today! You can do it.

And yes, I'm one of those with small children who found it impossible to participate today, thanks for giving me hope I can participate in the future!

  4. Wow! Your updates are making *me* tired. I'm impressed. :-) And it's good to know there's hope; my reading was derailed by my husband's headache, and my children's sudden need of a mother to solve problems. That, and I wasn't interested in any of the books on my pile. I hate it when that happens...

  5. 34 books? Wow. I think slightly under your goal still sounds amazing.

  7. I was thinking the same thing about the Mr. Terupt sequel. Is that an ARC? Definitely going on my TBR list.

Do you ever wish you read slower so you didn't make it through so many books so quickly? Do you actually remember what you read and comprehend it?
