No, Blogger, I DON'T Like the New Format

So, I'm not one to complain about Facebook switching everyone to timeline. Things change. Blogger is free.

But this messes up my day, Blogger. I can't find anything. (Okay, so I found the blogs I was following. But still. Thanks for the warning and all, but I LIKED the old version.)?

This looks like a stripped down warehouse version of Blogger, and I don't like it!

  1. I accidentally upgraded a few months ago and it took me awhile to figure out. Here's two tips for when you post, go to the options first on the right hand side of the post. Click Interpret typed HTML and Press Enter for line breaks. Otherwise it's hard to format your posts if you copy and paste them from something like Word.

I still can't figure out how to easily line up 10-12 book covers when I do a big giveaway. If you ever figure it out, let me know.

  2. I switched to the new interface a while ago, so I've gotten used to it and even kinda like it now. But what I object to is the new interface for gmail, which they forcibly switched my work email to. Why can't they let us old fogies stick with the one we like? Why? Why?

  5. I can't find anything! I'm not usually one to complain either, but I can't wrap my head around this one.

  6. I made some kind of switch a couple of months ago because we were trying to find a way to put Facebook buttons on my posts and couldn't do it with whatever nonconforming setup I had. I have "found" things but am still struggling to post images. And I still can't put any buttons on my posts, so we're going to have to do some other kind of change when we have enough time to wrap our heads around it.

My computer guy hates Blogger. I think it's because he can code and create things, and it frustrates him to have to conform to a pre-made deal, especially when they won't do what we want them to. Or what I want them to, to be more precise.

  7. Well, I snark all the time so I'm HAPPY to say that the new interface stinks for me!

When I try to re-size graphics with Chrome I don't get the 4 square corner thingys to re-size in column - but it works great in Firefox. Wassup with that dear Google?

Anyway, I'm still on the OLD interface, I'm sure they'll switch us over whether we like it or not like they did with Gmail but I'm holding on for as long as I can cause I'm oppositional defiant like that.
    Love your blog Mrs. Y!
