I like your selections--I haven't seen any of these before that I remember, but I think I'd go for the "Survive-O-Pedia first if I had to choose just one. It's amazing to me how many good books are out there. Of course, I'm one of those people who check out a ton of books in the "my reading pile is bigger than my reading time" syndrome. In any case, I enjoy your blog, and good luck!

Nice list. I didn't get the Beatles Anthology on mine. I had too many picks!
I'm surprised that you didn't get more cookbooks. My middle school students loved cookbooks. But they also loved animials, Star Wars....what to pick?
