Another basketball book! :) I just read Jump! the Michael Jordan pbb and enjoyed it. The illustrations in Jump look more inviting though than this middle grade novel.GatheringBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04477710897574769648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22559214.post-43414537983185819992015-10-06T22:21:16.417-04:002015-10-06T22:21:16.417-04:00I too enjoy having the professional athletes writi...I too enjoy having the professional athletes writing books. A boy or girl might pick up the Shaq book because they are basketball fanatics, and be excited to read a book about other kids who love basketball, and what's wrong with that? I too like Keating, but have only read How to Outrun A Crocodile. I want more real easy to red super hero books for my younger boys who are just starting to read. If I could only get my hands on enough of them I'd make a hundred little boys so very happy. BTW I'm going to follow what you read more closely Karen because I know you hate those dreary books where someone dies and I'm fed up with them. Although it might be a little young, it sounds as if it will spark some inquiry too, Karen. I'll look for Keating's books, too, am not familiar with many younger middle grade books. Sounds good.
