I'm not a big fa...So much drama in these books! I'm not a big fan of those books, but I can see how some students might like reading them. They sound like they have good themes about friendship, acceptance, and learning how to talk through problems, though, which are very important skills for anyone to learn. There were not challenging but I loved them. So the Swirl series seem like a updated version. I think it is great to add this series to your library to appeal to your many different kinds of readers. I too struggle with kids to read something a little more time intensive, but if they can't do it in 30 minutes they often aren't interested.
