He's got what it takes to keep those kids coming back for more. I'll be keeping my open for this title. I'm embarrassed that I haven't read any of the Codename Consipiracy, although I do have the first on my to reads list and have now put a paperback of #1 on order. Alas, I am nearly broke. I hear you about the boys reading "girl" books. Sometimes I try to convince the older ones that if they ever want to have a chance to understand girls, they might want to read some so called "girl books" That gets some of them motivated. Still, if I give boys The Princess Academy as an option to read, they will look at it (so long as it doesn't have the girl on the cover) and then, when I'm not looking, they put it back on the shelf. Sigh. I also like the sound of Guys read pink month too. My sister and her husband have worked hard to raise their children to not follow traditional gender requirements. They even let their son paint his nails (he's 6). They believe it's unhealthy to raise children with the idea that boys and girls aren't supposed to do certain things. It's an interesting idea...not sure how it's going to work out in the long run, though!Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22559214.post-28593393484120921462015-02-02T11:46:57.849-05:002015-02-02T11:46:57.849-05:00Love both of these authors so can't wait to re...Love both of these authors so can't wait to read their latest. I try and recommend good stories to boys and girls no matter what the gender of the MC. As you say, boys sometimes just need a nudge that reading about girls is acceptable.Greg Pattridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05761872776035591138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22559214.post-10197724038674471372015-02-02T09:47:39.061-05:002015-02-02T09:47:39.061-05:00Masterminds sounds interesting.
