Happy Birthday, Surly Teen Boy
Today is Surly Teen Boy's 17th birthday, which he is spending wearing shorts and fending off ants, apparently. We don't hear very much from him; he claims that he doesn't have the band width needed to Skype us, but I think he is just reveling in not having to talk to me.

Happy Belated Birthday to your son! How inspiring that he's an exchange student in the Philippines!
I spent a semester in college in another country and the time was priceless. How brave your son is to go so far from home while still in high school!
